BACKGROUND:
The City Council awarded 21-096, Information Technology Support Services, to Sentinel Technologies, Inc. and Mindsight on August 17, 2021, for a three-year term with two, one-year options to extend. The purpose of this contract is to provide support services for the Information Technology (IT) Department.
These support services provide additional staff time and expertise to meet the City’s IT needs without adding additional full-time IT positions. They augment and complement City’s IT staffing resources with specialized expertise in technology deployments, trouble diagnosis and correction, technology upgrades, and special projects.
DISCUSSION:
The first three years the service provided by Sentinel Technologies under the terms of the RFP have been satisfactory. Without these services, the IT Department would not have completed as many projects, solved as many troubles, or provided the same level of service to its customers.
Based on this, the IT Department would like to extend the contract for the first option year. Sentinel Technologies has agreed to maintain the rates and terms under the contract.
The term of the first option year is September 2, 2024, to September 1, 2025, with one one-year option remaining.
FISCAL IMPACT:
CIP#: N/A
Information Technology support services are expensed to the Other Professional Services account listed below. The IT Department included $200,000 in the 2024 budget for strategic support services. The requested award is within the amount budgeted for this expense.
