BACKGROUND:
Hosted by Marquette Properties, this private event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Water Street.
DISCUSSION:
All businesses on Water Street will be informed about this event and normal weekday hours will not be altered.
The general public will be able to gain access to the Riverwalk, as well as individual businesses, from the Riverwalk side of Water Street.
Specific temporary traffic controls for the event have been reviewed by public safety and are depicted on the attached map and ordinance. High top tables will be placed on Water Street but will allow enough space for emergency vehicles to access the area if necessary.
The event streets will be closed beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, and will open to vehicular traffic with the removal of the No Parking/Tow Zone signs at approximately 10:00 p.m., or as soon as the Naperville Police Department determines it appropriate based on public safety.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Marquette Companies is not eligible for SECA Grant funding, therefore all costs associated with this event are billed to the organizer.
