BACKGROUND:
On November 17, 2023, Firefighter Ryan Jordan suffered a work injury during a training exercise. Jordan treated for his injury but was unable to return to full duty work as a firefighter. His application for a disability pension was approved on July 14, 2026.
DISCUSSION:
Jordan and the City have agreed to resolve his workers’ compensation claim for a one-time payment of $197,040.90.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The City will make a one-time payment of $197,040.90 to Ryan Jordan.
