BACKGROUND:
The units listed below were reviewed and approved by the Fleet Services Manager for replacement in the FY2026 budget. Vehicles are scored for replacement based on four criteria: age, usage, condition and repair costs. Recommending a vehicle for replacement requires a score of 23.0 or greater.

Two units did not meet the replacement score; however, staff recommends that they be included in this round of replacements. Unit 131 has undercarriage corrosion that could become structural before 2027 and Unit 169 will be retained and reassigned to replace TED Unit 509, which scored 26.75.
DISCUSSION:
The units listed above are used daily by the Police and Fire departments for routine operations and emergency responses. The retired vehicles will be sold through the City's auction service provider. The units will be replaced with 2026 Ford Police Utility Interceptor Hybrid SUVs consistently specified with other units in the same operational use.
