BACKGROUND:

The City of Naperville has a commemorative/memorial street name sign program to honor people, organizations, or groups who have achieved noteworthy accomplishments and service to the community. Currently, the City has the following commemorative/memorial streets: Judd Kendall Memorial Way (Jackson Avenue), Stenger Commemorative Parkway (Franklin Avenue), Ned Becker Commemorative Parkway (Naper Boulevard), Nitra and Patzcuaro Commemorative Parkways (Aurora Avenue and Webster Street), Chief Robert Worthel Memorial Way (School Street), J. Glenn Schneider Memorial Way (Hillside Road), and Ron Keller Commemorative Way (Central Park Road).

 

DISCUSSION:

In honor of Liz Spencer and her significant contributions to Naperville, Ambassador Drive will be designated as “Liz Spencer Commemorative Parkway.”

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Signage costs are estimated at $200.
