BACKGROUND:
Section 2-1-4 of the Municipal Code states:
All members of boards and commissions may be removed at the request of the Mayor and approval by the City Council for any cause which, in the opinion of the Mayor and City Council, warrants removal.
Any member who has attended less than 75% of meetings, excluding excused absences, may be subject to removal at the request of the Mayor and approval by the City Council.
In addition, any member who has failed to productively participate in the business of the board or commission may be subject to removal.
DISCUSSION:
Building Review Board member Joe Wanner did not attend any of the six meetings in 2025, therefore it is recommended he be removed from the Building Review Board due to not meeting attendance requirements outlined above.
