BACKGROUND:

At the May 19th meeting, the City Council awarded the construction contract for the NCC Riverwalk Park to Baumgartner Construction, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $2,049,192.32.  Construction on the site commenced on Wednesday, May 27th.  The contract completion date is October 30, 2026.

 

DISCUSSION:

Recent construction has focused on installation of the support piers for the low flow walk and excavation.  Two unknown underground storage tanks as well as two abandoned natural gas mains were also located and removed.  See attached photos.
