BACKGROUND:
Sponsored by the Downtown Naperville Alliance (DNA), the Downtown Naperville Car Show will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Jackson Avenue.
DISCUSSION:
The Downtown Naperville Car Show is an annual event which displays an estimated 100 classic cars.
Specific temporary traffic control information for the Car Show is depicted on the attached map and ordinance.
The event street will be closed beginning at approximately 8:00 a.m. and will open to vehicular traffic with the removal of No Parking/Tow Zone signs at approximately 12:30 p.m. or as soon as the Naperville Police Department determines it appropriate based on public safety.
The DNA will notify all affected businesses and residents of the event and road closures and all insurance requirements will be fulfilled prior to the issuance of the Special Event permit.
Because an officer is permanently assigned to the Downtown area, the Police Department does not anticipate any City services costs for the event.
