BACKGROUND:
At the May 19th meeting, the City Council awarded the construction contract for the NCC Riverwalk Park to Baumgartner Construction, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $2,049,192.32. Construction on the site commenced on Wednesday, May 27th. The contract completion date is October 30, 2026.
DISCUSSION:
Work at the NCC Park is substantially complete. The contractor is waiting on delivery of a few additional materials including the seat wall caps and alternate benches. Additional soil samples related to the removal of the underground storage tank and sod restoration are also outstanding. The park is expected to open in late November.
