BACKGROUND:
The Water Utilities operates and maintains 23 wastewater lift stations, seven back-flow prevention stations, five storm water pumping stations, and eight waterworks sites. These sites consist of submersible pumping equipment, horizontal and vertical pumping equipment, and other specialty pumping equipment located at the Springbrook Water Reclamation Center. This equipment ranges in horsepower (HP) from one to 450 HP with voltages from 120 to 2300 volts.
In February 2026, the Water Utilities issued Bid 26-039 to retain a licensed pumping equipment, repair and maintenance service contractor capable of providing a full spectrum of services consisting of maintenance, repair and replacement of the Water Utility pumping systems. The contractor will respond to routine service calls and emergency callouts.
