BACKGROUND:
In March 2024, the Transportation, Engineering and Development (TED) Business Group issued Bid 24-013 seeking contractors to perform fiberized crackfilling on various city streets. Crackfilling consists of cleaning and sealing any cracks, voids, or joints two inches in width or less with asphalt cement reinforced by polypropylene fibers. It is a cost-effective preventative maintenance technique and when performed routinely, it can keep water and debris from getting into the pavement.
