WWU34 - Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Rehabilitation Program

The City maintains 21 sanitary sewer lift stations. WWU34 provides for annual rehabilitation of one station, which require improvements due to a number of factors including age of existing pumps, controls and corrosion of some underground metal structures. Old pumps and pumping apparatus become less reliable and cost more to keep operational as the equipment nears the end of their anticipated service life. Also, some lift station emergency generators are obsolete and repair parts no longer available. The project also provides for upgrades to the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) equipment. Carrolwood Pump Station is scheduled for rehabilitation in 2017.

The sanitary sewer lift station rehabilitation program is expensed to the Capital Improvement Program account listed below. A total of $385,000 is budgeted for the program in CY2017. The requested award is within budget.
