BACKGROUND:

In March 2024, Water Utilities issued Bid 23-232R, 2024 Cured-in-Place-Pipe Water Main Rehabilitation, seeking a qualified contractor to rehabilitate approximately 250 feet of existing 12-inch water main using the trenchless method of cured-in-place pipe. The water main to be rehabilitated crosses the DuPage River at Eagle Street.  Due to the difficulty of replacing this pipe, staff determined the trenchless rehabilitation of the pipe was the most suitable approach.
