BACKGROUND:
The Water Utilities issued Bid 17-138 seeking a qualified vendor to replace the existing odor control system at the North Wastewater Pump Station. The existing odor control system is at the end of service life and is not able to fully mitigate the odors from the pump station. The proposed odor control system is a more efficient in alleviating hydrogen sulfide gasses (rotten egg smells) and other odors, reduces the accumulation of fats, oils and grease (FOG), as well as decreases the growth of biofilm and bacteria.

WWU34 - Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Rehabilitation Program
The City maintains 22 sanitary sewer pump stations. WWU34 provides for replacement of lift station equipment reaching the end of service life.
Odor control equipment is budgeted to the capital improvement account listed below. A total of $385,000 is budgeted for WWU34 in CY2017. The requested award is within budget.
