BACKGROUND:

In July 2024, the Transportation, Engineering, and Development Business Group (TED) issued Bid 24-067, 2024 Trip Hazard Removal - Fall Project, to obtain contractor services to correct substandard sidewalk conditions at various locations throughout the City. This project creates a safer walking environment by removing vertical differentials between sidewalk squares along selected streets. It also provides a more cost-effective and sustainable option for addressing these sidewalk issues, compared to complete replacement.
