CITY MANAGER AUTHORITY PROCUREMENT AWARDS
ACTION REQUESTED:
title
Approve the award of Change Order #1 to Contract 26-068, Electric Utility Furniture, to Conklin Office Furniture for an amount not to exceed $9,893.69 and a total award of $181,133.81
body
DEPARTMENT: Electric Utility
SUBMITTED BY: Raheel Arshed, Deputy Director
BACKGROUND:
The Electric Utility (EU) is replacing part of the office furniture that was installed in Suite 100 of the Electric Service Center (ESC) in 1984 with furniture that better fits the office space and provides more functional and ergonomic features for the staff.
When an office renovation requires new furniture, it is the Department of Public Works - Public Building Operations (DPW-PBO) standard to use re-furbished Steelcase office furniture. The EU worked with DPW-PBO to configure the equipment to be consistent with the furniture standards in use throughout the City and develop the parts list covered by this request.
The City Manager awarded Contract 26-068, Electric Utility Furniture, to Conklin Office Furniture on February 13, 2026, for phase 3 of the Electric Utilities Service Center Suite 100 office remodel.
DISCUSSION:
This change order is requested to add an additional $9,893.69 for additional office furniture that were not included in the original list and were found to be needed after additional review.
