BACKGROUND:
Every year the Riverwalk Commission holds an extra meeting to allow the commissioners the opportunity to walk a portion of the Riverwalk together and see first-hand the condition of all Riverwalk assets. The walk has been very productive and worthwhile over the years.
DISCUSSION:
The one problem we have consistently encountered is that we cannot cover the entire Riverwalk during the meeting. To address this problem, we are proposing two walks this year. The dates are as follows:
1. April 18, 2024 at 3:00 PM Meet at the Cliff Preston memorial on the west side of Eagle Street to cover the Riverwalk west of Eagle Street.
2. May 1, 2024 at 3:00 PM Meet in the NEU room in the Municipal Center and then we will cover the Riverwalk east of Eagle Street
These two meetings are in addition to our regularly scheduled monthly Planning, Design and Construction committee and Riverwalk Commission meetings.
